Thinking about the 50th anniversary of the Summer of Love and The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper album, I’m transported back to Flushing, Queens, June of ‘67, eager to be turning 11 later that summer
The Beatles early capitol albums were murder!! Meet the Beatles was a lousy knockoff of With the Beatles. Capitol butchered Rubber Soul and Revolver. However, Sgt. A day in the life is the only outstanding song on the album IMO. The songs aren't bad, just not their best. Signed Beatles albums are one of the most sought-after types of signed Beatles items. In 1967, the Beatles refused to be photographed or spoke out, preferring to remain in the recording studio and be kept busy, with the exception of the girls waiting outside E.M.I.’s Abbey Road studios for autographs. Only a few Sgt Pepper L.Ps have been signed.
