The lower resoluation you play league at the better. A lot of pro players in league, sc2, cs, dota all play at lowest or low resolution because of the advatages. Less eye movement, you can take in more at a glance. Less mouse movement, it's faster to get your mouse from x to y because shorter distance.

League still isn't optimized for 4k monitors. With 4k starting to be more mainstream I find it weird that the game still isn't optimized for 4k resolution. There are a few issues listed bellow: The client resizes every time I log into league while the resolution is the same as before. If I set it to 2549x1900 or something it fits perfectly in I bought a 4k monitor like 1 year ago and League of Legends hadn't supported 4k yet. So I was disappointed and played on 1920x1080p, hoping for them to fix it soon. In patch 6.2 they apologized and fixed the ingame font ("HUD font size now properly scales with HUD settings, rather than system DPI settings.
To apply it press Ctrl+Alt+5 in game. To set up red and green cursor enter Try mode in HOTS, hover over your towers first then press Ctrl+Alt+5 twice, after that hover over enemy's towers and press Ctrl+Alt+5 three times. Element Size. Minimap is the name of the game, so you should make it big and consider shrinking other elements to free up space. Pros always have the minimap at 100 and tend to have lower HUD size, while chat size is a personal preference. For non-desktop fellows, my settings (15” laptop, mild myopia) are HUD=2, Chat=21, Minimap=100. I have a 4K display and have to turn it down to 1080p when playing league. It is an issue with the screen resolution and the cursor not up-scaling within the LoL client. It's just a feature Riot needs to updated, not a Windows 10 issue.

This may cause the shrinkage while tabbing out. In that case just get to 1920x1080 in the Settings or Play on borderless window mode. I play on 1920x1080 but my monitor and windows native resolution is 4k, so I don't know if that is messing something up. I've tried borderless window mode but the resulting league window is pretty small and sAGR.
